Portfolio

I have experience working across a range of formats, including Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, promotional education, medical affairs, and medical journalism.

I focus on creating content tailored to meet the needs of healthcare professionals and organizations.

Because of confidentiality agreements, most of the deliverables I produce cannot be shared publicly. However, I’m actively expanding my portfolio with independently developed pieces.

For select examples, I’ve included annotated copies for transparency and fact-checking, along with folders of highlighted references. Below is a list of current samples, organized by the types of services I offer.

Community Engagement

In addition to my medical writing work, I lead two initiatives that support the development of medical writing talent.

I provide coaching for people transitioning into medical writing through a step-by-step resource center, with guidance documents at each stage to support progress. This demonstrates my ability to design structured workflows, create clear guidance, and manage learning processes.

Coaching

I manage a volunteer-based blog where medical writers contribute articles on the challenges faced by aspiring and early-career writers. These articles aim to provide peer support and offer opportunities to collaborate and develop writing and editing skills. This work showcases my content development and editorial oversight skills.

  • Managed Initiative: I develop original topics and guide the editorial workflow to ensure articles are uniformly structured and maintain a cohesive theme of providing career guidance for medical writers.

  • Creative Format: The articles appear in two formats, evidence-based guidance and how-to pieces, both incorporating personal perspective.

  • Guidance & Workflow: I created a comprehensive guidance sheet to provide clear instructions for submissions, editing, and publication, anticipating potential challenges for contributors at all experience levels.

The Med Writer's Notebook Substack

Through these initiatives, I combine insight from my medical writing experience with project coordination, workflow design, and process management. I bring these skills to every medical writing project I undertake.
